Willow Court Historic Site – Willow Court is part of the former Royal Derwent Hospital and is the oldest mental hospital in Australia. Many buildings in Willow Court predate the historic Port Arthur.
St. Matthews Church – One of Australia’s oldest churches is the Anglican Church of St. Matthew, opposite the delightful Arthur Square, built in 1823.

Betty King’s Grave – Betty King was the first white woman to set foot on Australian soil. Her grave is located at the Methodist Church in Magra, about 3km north of New Norfolk.
Derwent Valley Community Market – The Derwent Valley Community Market operates on the 3rd Sunday of each month in the old hospital grounds – lots of bric-a-brac, fresh produce and crafts.

The Walking through Time Heritage Trail around New Norfolk provides visitors and locals with a wealth of information on some of the towns fascinating history. There are nine boards placed along the trail, in addition podcast recordings of wonderful stories about the area’s history can be accessed by scanning the QR code on each board with a smart phone, or the podcasts can be accessed at anytime by going to www.walktt.com.au
